Name:Hermione Jane Granger
Age:17
Birthday: September 19th
Bloodline:Muggle Born
Physical Description: Hermione is most well known for her unruly brown hair. Although it is a beautiful shade of honey brown people rarely notice it because the look of her curls is so over powering it is hard to focus your attention on anything else. She has quite a fair complexion, save for the few freckles that show up on her nose when she has bee out in the sun for too long. Hermione has dark brown eyes, set underneath curly, full lashes, and they are really quite stunning, that is if you can see them from behind her book.
Accessories have never really been Hermione's thing, and she will most likely be found wearing what is most comfortable, along with sporting some House pride. She carries her small frame with good posture and pride. Her chin she holds high with an air of determination and strength.
Most of the time Hermione's mouth is twisted in a grin, or an all knowing smirk. Her true, joyful smile is one that can light an entire room, although she would rather do that with her outstanding wit. At a young age she had very large buck teeth, but thanks to a stroke of good luck, and some magic she has out grown her teeth and they all now are set in the perfect size.
Not being your normal seventeen year old girl, Hermione is not one to wear a great deal of make-up The tops of her eyelids are never sparkling with some ridiculous enchanted eyeshadow, her lips rarely glossed and her nails seldom polished. In this Hermione is a "what you see is what you get package."
Personality: Hermione has been called many names in her life " insufferable know it all" being among them.To many people it would seem like Hermione's books were the most important thing to her. They are certainly not far from the mark. All of her life Hermione's philosophy was that brains would win over beauty any day. And brains is certainly something that she posses.
Hermione has a fierce stubbornness about her that could make her look like a snob, but she prides herself in the ability that she has to win arguments. Hermione is quite the open person so if she does not like someone, they are sure to know.
Even through her many faults Hermione is a wonderful friend and will sick to the people close to her through thick and thin, even if they share a great deal of arguments along the way. She is brave and has on more then one occasion put her life on the line for others.
Most people seem to forget that she is just a normal girl, and even through her prickly exterior, Hermione really just wants to be well liked. Even though she is not the most friendly person in the world, she still knows how to have fun and is almost always laughing.

History: Hermione has quite the colorful past, up until her seventh year at Hogwarts. She was born into a Muggle family and her father and mother were both dentists. They loved their only daughter and were ecstatic when they found that she posses magical ability.
In a flash , Hermione was off to a magical boarding school, but that was not before she had the chance to get her hands on every book that she could get her hands on that contained information about the magical community. It was the very first day, on the train where she met her future best friends. Even if Hermione, Ron and Harry did not hit it off in the beginning they soon became inseparable after battling, (and winning) a fight against a Mountain Troll on Halloween. The trio's adventures soon became more dangerous and more important as they found out the secrets of Nickolas Flamel. In the end of her eleventh year, Hermione had gotten past a three headed dog, beaten Devil's Snare and out witted the potions master Snape. It was hard for her to say goodbye to her new found friends.
When it came to second year the trio's adventures only continued. At only the age of twelve Hermione was out to foil the Dark Lords plans once again. This time, being in great danger from an unknown evil that was killing off muggle borns or ' dirty bloods'. Toward the end of year Hermione wound up petrified from a Basilisk and un able to help her friends save Ron's sister Ginny. Thankfully the cure was found and Hermione was soon back to normal.
Once third year came around Hermione did not think that her and her friends could go through anymore. This was one point were she was wrong. Hermione was taking more courses then was healthy for her and was quite stressed. Harry's 'evil' godfather who ' killed' Harry's parents broke out of prison and was out for Harry this time. Needless to say, there was no way that Hermione was about to let her friend be killed by some lunatic and goes to extremes to save her friend. Thankfully there was no need for Sirius was actually good and there to help the trio.
With forth year came hormones and the Tri Wizard Tournament. Thankfully Hermione was not directly involved with the Tournament, even though her best friend Harry was selected mysteriously as the fourth "champion". This caused a great deal of heartache considering her new found love, Victor Krum was a competitor against Harry. Hermione was quite horrified when she found that the Dark Lord had once again gained power.
Fifth year passed as any other, hanging out with her friends and battling the rising threat of Voldimort. The only difference was, this time the evil was no were to me found, and the Headmater Dumbludor seemed no where to be found. Hermione helped found the group called Dumbledor's Army in hopes to teach the students how to defend themselves if it came to fighting real evil. At the end of the year she accompanied a group of close friends to the Department of Mysteries in hopes to save Sirius Black. Unfortunately in the end, Sirius died anyway.
Six Year was yet another huge adventure. Hermione found that when she was not studying she constantly found herself trying to make her friend Ron jealous, or scolding Harry for cheating in potions. In the end of the year, there was a Death Eater attack at the school while Harry was away with the Headmaster. Hermione and the old D.A. did their best to protect the school but in the end, their beloved Headmaster wound up dead. Now only time will tell what is to happen.
Family and Pets: Crookshanks, Hermione's cat.
Roleplaying Sample: The sun was letting it's last few rays escape before it set over the rolling hills of England. In the Burrow lights shone and many people were bustling in the kitchen. Hermione sat on her bed, school books lying untouched on the floor. She held a pillow tightly to against her stomach and pressed her lips against the maroon pillow case as she let a sob escape her lips. In her hand, she held a tear stained copy of the Daily Prophet the head line reading " The Chosen One Lost?" Hermione let her sole creep into despair.
Harry Potter "The Chosen One" had been her her closest friend for seven years and now he was.. gone, vanished into thin air. It was said that there were no leads, or connections as to where he was, or even if he was alive.
It had always been hard, having her best friend being one of the most famous people in the wizarding world, but at this moment was intolerable. Like always the Ministry of Magic was not taking the action that they needed to. A quote from a disgruntled Ministry worker read " Who knows? He probably just cracked under the pressure and ran away." As she read Hermione felt a fierce anger rise in her through and she crumpled up the paper and threw it as hard as she could across the room that she and Ginny shared.
What had happened? Why hadn't Harry just excepted the invitation to live with the Weasley's over the summer. If he had would he be sitting next to her right now? Hermione just could not handle any of the unanswered questions. Why did everything always have to be so hard. Hermione sighed as she flopped backward over onto her back, this was what she signed up for when she became his friend. Part of her wanted to walk down the stairs to talk things out with Ron, but the other part of her did not want him to see in in such a state.
Quickly wipping her tears she rose from her place on the bed to get a pen and a paper. Her plan was to write to Victor, like she usually did when she had nothing better to do, She forced herself to sit at the desk and gather up a parchment and quill. Just as her pen hit the paper, so did her tears. Who was she kidding, there was no way that writing Vitor was going to help this.
In the end she just lay on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, hoping that Ginny wouldn't disturb her.
