BACKGROUND
Family: Tobias Snape (muggle) and Eileen Prince (pureblood)
(Grandfather: Antario)
Home: Snape Manor, England
History:
Parents: Tobias Snape and Eileen Prince
Sibling(s): None
Family History:
Tobias and Eileen were married shortly out of school. Severus was born not long after. In all actuality, his family life was anything but normal. His father was a muggle and did not like Severus' mother using magic. He was angry when he found out that his son was a 'freak' when Severus showed his first signs of magic ability at the age of 14 months.
Severus had a pet dog once, but it disappeared quite suddenly when Severus was about thirteen. It was found a month later, it had been brutally killed.
Severus didn’t seem to care and was instead more interested in the various states of decay it seemed to be going through. He had various other pets after that, but they always ‘ran away’ not long after they were presented to him. His mother couldn’t understand why, and while she was concerned, she never truly explored the reasons behind it nor Severus' reactions which were usually mild and indifferent. Finally, they stopped getting pets.
Severus was never a really loving child, despite the fact that his mother was constantly showering him with gifts and compliments. His father was a cruel man, lashing out at Severus' mother when he was drunk, and turned it on Severus when the boy tried to stand up for his mother. Severus learned after that to never stand up for others.
Severus was a quiet boy and withdrawn from everyone and everything. His mother called him ‘independent and introspective.’ His neighbors called him ‘creepy’. Severus was the quiet observor.
Severus's Personality:
If one had to utilise one word to describe Severus, it would have to be 'intense'. He is purely Scorpio. Negative aspects: brooding, jealousy, resentment, even vengefulness. Positive aspects: Unswering dedication once emotions have been engaged, energy, drive, and endurance.
Severus is very analytical in a practical way. The desire to answer the why's and what-for's spurs him to delve beneath the surface of anything that genuinely strikes his fancy. He is deeply loyal to friends but can be intensely jealous and possessive of those he is close to. He is generally straightforward and direct to the point. Moderation and restraint are generally not traits that he readily possesses. He is not one to beat around the bush.
Severus is a mastermind when it comes to potions and spell inventions.
Severus is possessed of a long memory. All kindness are remembered and rewarded handsomely, while any injuries whether metaphorically or literally are repaid in kind.
He is a fierce competitor.
He can be quite cunning and devious, subconsciously filing away pieces of information, facts, names - for future reference in the event that they might ever prove 'useful'.
Severus will go to any lengths to achieve his ends. If he wants something bad enough, no amount of discomfort will sway him. He will see things through to the end. If he is given a task to complete, he will do whatever it takes to finish it. It becomes a point of pride.
After leaving Hogwarts and joining with the Death Eaters, something happened to turn Severus spy to his master, Lord Voldemort. What it was remained a secret between Severus and Albus Dumbledore. Now, with Albus dead and Severus on the run from the Ministry for the supposed murder of his long time friend, instructor, and mentor, there is no telling where the raven haired wizard will end up next. Nor what he will do.
Did he murder Albus Dumbledore?
Did he do so at the old wizards instructions?
Is Severus still faithful to Albus and all he believed in, or did he never believe in them to begin with, playing Albus for a fool and leading the man into false hopes and dreams.
Only one person knows the answer to this...
...And Severus is not telling.
A Sample RP:
It was dark outside and the branch of the tree outside scraped on the window. Severus rolled over and frowned in the pitch black at the place he knew the window to be. It didn't wake him. He hadn't been asleep. He had been lying awake listening to the boy in the next bed snoring lightly.
Draco Malfoy. A boy that Severus had taken an unbreakable vow for. And now a boy that Severus still needed to keep safe, hidden away in this dirty old dusty cabin in hopes of not being found.
The Concealment Charms could only do so much. They couldn't stay in one place for long. It was too risky.
He sighed irritably as the branch changed its tempo, tapping annoying on the window pane now like someone desperately wanting in. For a fleeting moment Severus thought that it was in fact someone tapping on the window with their wand, then berated himself silently for being foolish.
With a grunt, Severus rolled onto his other side to face Draco's sleeping form, pulling the blanket over his head, only to throw it off and get up, stalking over to a door and turned the handle, stepping into a darkened room.
The room was fairly large and dimly lit by candlelight, with a faint smell of musk and rosemary wafting through the air - that seemed inviting and forboding at the same time. In the far corner of the room stood a rather large black desk that looked old, perhaps antique. The shadowy room was lined with shelves bearing hundreds of glass jars in which slimy bits of animals and plants were suspended in variously coloured potions. In one corner stood a cupboard full of ingredients for potions.
A black velvet drape hung limply over the window that would normally let light in. Against a side wall were couches, with a door leading off beside them into a private room. Beside the couches were cages and tanks to keep various creatures in. Another corner of the office was hidden by drapes, that were black velvet like the drape over the window.
In the centre of the room stood a table that could comfortably seat four people, with four matching chairs placed strategically around it. On the table was a tank that housed a creature swimming around in the murky water, too muddy to see what the occupant was. A clock sat promptly on the wall behind the desk, ticking softly in the otherwise silent setting.
Severus was sitting at the desk, strumming his long slender fingers on the hard wooden surface as he listened to the footsteps that marched down the stone corridor and stopped outside his office door. "Enter." Severus Snape said sharply and the door opened with a quick flick of his wand.
"You wished to see me, Sir?" Draco asked as he stepped into the room, his grey eyes looking at the man with respect.
"I have something for you." Severus said simply as he approached the boy and stopped with their robes touching. The door shut with a click and a silver stream shot from Severus' wand into Draco's temple.
A hooded figure apparated with a faint popping sound, spinning on itself lightly, under the shadows of the trees that seemed to claim all the light of the morning and store somewhere unseen. There was a dark feeling about the place. There was something that pushed people away from there, evil was almost palpable, it seemed to hover in the air and surround the already unwelcoming landscape that the tall, hooded magician had materialized into. Wand being held by long and elegant fingers in his right hand, the man moved with a confidence and tranquility that had a certain grace to it.
Some might have said it was overconfidence and arrogance, but it was neither: It was, simply put, reality. Moving swiftly, he stepped over the roots that covered the ground and dodged puddles of water and mud as he had no wishes of dirtying his black robes. It was not long before he found the path and set way, as tall as he was it was not hard to walk quickly, with long strides. The figure stopped for a second and turned his gaze towards another noise, the faint popping of another joining him. Dark eyes scanned the area and stopped on the blonde boy who approached cautiously, his face taunt and sickly looking.
"Silence." He hissed, his voice carrying faintly on the breeze, dissipating as soon as it reached the boy's ears. It was clear who owned the voice: the dark wizard who had recently murdered the only man the Dark Lord ever feared - Severus Snape. "Drink this." He whispered as the boy, who's face turned up to reveal the identity of Draco Malfoy, a shadow of his former self, his grey eyes sunken into his sockets, his cheekbones jutted on his once handsome face.
Thin shaky hands reached up and took the potion, drinking it down eagerly and licking his cracked pale lips. Haunted eyes looked up at the man, a look of fear and respect in them as he opened his mouth to speak, hesitating a moment as he was faced with a sharp look from the crooked nosed wizard. He swallowed and licked at his lips, tasting his own blood. He chuckled. A noise that sounded foreign coming from him and he paused, looking confunded as though he didn't know why he had laughed. He didn't know, he realised and that only confused him more.
There was a clicking sound as Severus tongue smacked the roof of his mouth. "Come along, Draco." He said briskly, continuing along the overgrown path. Such was the evil and the death that hung in the air, wrapping around him, that seemed to walk with him, hand in hand. Grey clouds shielded them from the harming light of the sun as if, somehow, they were predicting doom.
Severus stopped for a second and turned his gaze as he tried to sight the gas giant without success. He failed or, rather, was pleased to not find it. He had never understood why muggles and wizards alike enjoyed the burning rays. It was then that he arrived at the grounds of the castle, the sound of air being released from a tire escaping his thin lips as he strode out of the protection of the trees that lined the Forbidden Forest.
After walking through the gates and getting to the main doors, thin, long index fingers revealed themselves from the long sleeves of his cloak as he raised his hands and pushed against the heavy wooden doors. In response, the doors opened without a sound.
