Name: Dante Rex
Gender: male
Age: 28
Birthday: 13th of October
Wand: Thirteen and one half inch Wand of Walnut with handle of ebony and
the Whisker of a Dragon. Very firm. Excellent for spells.

Familiar:
Dante has a pet raven called Diablo, with whom he has an almost psychic connection. Diablo wanders the corridors of the castle just as Dante does, and if the raven spots anyone putting a toe out of line, Dante is there within minutes. Dante knows the secret passageways and hidden doors of Hogwarts better than anyone.
Appearance:
Standing at an imposing 6'3, Dante certainly can look menacing when he needs to. He has a thin, wiry frame, accented with black untamed hair. Milky white skin and porcelain features are highlighted by beetle black eyes that could freeze the sun or melt the coldest Heart. Dante may look quite weak and frail; but he is a very capable young wizard.
Dressed always in black, Dante is very conscious of his appearance, hiding as much of his lithe form from view as possible. He does not like to be looked at, afraid to be judged on yet another flaw.

Mental Health: Volatile.
Quirks/Habits: Very gaurded and private. Hides emotions.

Likes: Privacy, coffee
Dislikes: Know-it-alls, nosy people, unnecessary chit-chat, pink and fluffy things, pumpkin juice.
Background:
Parents: Claudius Rex (Deceased), Mariah Prince-Rex(Deceased)
Sibling(s): None
Family History:
Claudius and Mariah were married shortly out of school. Dante was born not long after. In all actuality, his family life was anything but normal. His father was a muggle and did not like Dante's mother using magic. He was angry when he found out that his son was a 'freak' when Dante showed his first signs of magic ability at the age of 14 months.
Dante had a pet dog once, but it disappeared quite suddenly when Dante was about nine. It was found a month later, it had been brutally killed.
Dante didn’t seem to care and was instead more interested in the various states of decay it seemed to be going through. He had various other pets after that, but they always ‘ran away’ not long after they were presented to him. His mother couldn’t understand why, and while she was concerned, she never truly explored the reasons behind it nor Dante's reactions which were usually mild and indifferent. Finally, they stopped getting pets.
General Comment: Yes, he tortured his pets and killed them, then would hide or destroy their bodies. Sometimes he would hide them just so he could watch them slowly decompose.
Dante was never a really loving child, despite the fact that his mother was constantly showering him with gifts and compliments. His father was a cruel man, lashing out at Dante's mother when he was drunk, and turned it on Dante when the boy tried to stand up for his mother. Dante learned after that to never stand up for others.
Dante was a quiet boy and withdrawn from everyone and everything. His mother called him ‘independent and introspective.’ His neighbors called him ‘creepy’. Dante was the quiet observor.
Dante's Personality:
If one had to utilise one word to describe Dante, it would have to be 'intense'. He is purely Scorpio. Negative aspects: brooding, jealousy, resentment, even vengefulness. Positive aspects: Unswering dedication once emotions have been engaged, energy, drive, and endurance.
Dante is very analytical in a practical way. The desire to answer the why's and what-for's spurs him to delve beneath the surface of anything that genuinely strikes his fancy. He has no loyalties, except to himself, and can be intensely jealous and possessive of those he is close to. He is generally straightforward and direct to the point. Moderation and restraint are generally not traits that he readily possesses. He is not one to beat around the bush.
Dante is a mastermind when it comes to potions and spell inventions.
Dante is possessed of a long memory. All kindness are remembered and rewarded handsomely, while any injuries whether metaphorically or literally are repaid in kind.
He is a fierce competitor.
He can be quite cunning and devious, subconsciously filing away pieces of information, facts, names - for future reference in the event that they might ever prove 'useful'.
Dante will go to any lengths to achieve his ends. If he wants something bad enough, no amount of discomfort will sway him. He will see things through to the end. If he is given a task to complete, he will do whatever it takes to finish it. It becomes a point of pride.
He can appear to be the most sensitive and sweetest man alive-- Loving and dear. But he can’t actually feel that sensitivity. He has no true compassion for those he hurts. He has difficulty forming attachments and his empathy is almost nonexistent. Once an attachment is formed or forced, he is possessive. He never lets go. They are his, and he's insensitive to their need to leave. They're allowed to leave by one means... death.
He doesn’t really seek out much or ask for much. He wants to be self-sufficient. He will do it on his own, or not at all.
Not a nurturer, though he can play the part for a while. But then it becomes too difficult. He can’t continue the act indefinitely. He’s a fine actor, but one cannot live a part forever. He'll try longest for those he's decided to keep. But in the end, he might decide that it is better off to kill them than cater to them forever if they are too needy.
He’s rather flexible. He can change with any situation as it comes up. But it pisses him off and he’ll be resentful with each change believing it to be an overall conspiracy just to mess up his plans.
He will complete all projects started, he will do whatever is necessary to finish.
Sexuality is not an issue with him. He will sleep with anyone. The problem is the fact that he has no emotional attachment to the act and doesn’t care about anyone. Sex is as much a weapon for him as a knife and he’s not above using it to bind someone to him emotionally making them dependent on him. Nor is he above using it for blackmail purposes. Sex in this context does not equal love. His form of love is obsession. Sex means nothing. On the other hand, he doesn't like to be pawed or molested without being able to fight them off or control it. He wants control over his body and himself.
Because he has such difficulty forming attachments or finding a lover that will accept him rather than choosing death, he will be obsessive, possessive, and if someone harms them or harms someone he considers a friend, he will go into a rage taking out everything he can for as long as he can.
After leaving Hogwarts Dante applied for the position of Caretaker at Hogwarts, to gain access to the vast books in the large library. Luckily he was given the job a few months ago when their Caretaker mysteriously disappeared.
