Name: Adelaide LaBelle
Age: 17
Birthday:December 13
Bloodline: Pure-blood
Physical Description: Adelaide has a fascination with what some would call strange colors. Her black hair is always highlighted some off the wall color. Color of the week this week? Neon orange. This color bears an interesting contrast to her bright green eyes. She's not the tallest seventeen year old, standing at 5'3", and she only weighs about 107 lbs. Her posture is not of high quality; most of the time, you find her roaming the halls, looking down at her feet.
Personality: Adelaide is a very reserved individual. She tends to keep to herself most of the time, unless you can catch her on a weird day. If you're a friend of hers, she'll treat you like the greatest thing in the world, and she tends to get very attached. She's very shy, as stated earlier, but if you confront her on something she believes, be prepared, because she'll let you have it. She's a very dedicated and hardworking student, focused on trying to get into the Ministry after school.
Likes: Trying new things, the outdoors, Care of Magical Creatures class, watching Quidditch, quiet study places, having somewhere to call her own, writing poetry, being with her very few friends, and just having some time to herself.
Dislikes: Potions class, anything that threatens her or her friends, her family, being mistaken for a Muggle, distant relationships, and not knowing what's going on.
History: Adelaide was born on the living room floor of the house she grew up in on a cursed day in December. She should figured out something was a little off when she was born on Friday the 13th. Ever since she was a little girl playing with ordinary Muggle children because her parents refused to use magic around her or even tell her about it, she noticed that weird things always happened to her. Finally, on her 11th birthday, her parents told her about this amazing, entirely different world that she belonged in. She made a personal vow to herself that she would spend as much time in this world as possible, instead of the Muggle world.
After hearing of her true potential, she was quickly enrolled in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in which she is now a 7th Year. She finally was able to learn why all these weird things were happening to her and she learned to control it. All the while, making new friends as she went along.
Family and Pets: Her mother, Catherine, remained in the Muggle world and became a nurse at a local hospital. Her father remained in the Muggle world as well, making a decent living as a Comic Shop Owner. He never understood why the Muggles loved them so much. Her brother, Nathan, disappeared after being told he was a Wizard, and no one's heard from him since. She has no pets.
Roleplaying Sample:
The sun slowly peeked into the tree tops as the birds in a nearby nest began to rustle their leaves and head out to rummage for food. The crumpled figure on the floor of the tiny tree house stirred and rolled over with a slight groan, trying to open her eyes, but then squinting them against the sun. All the muscles in her body tensed, trying to remember where she was and why she was there. Slowly sitting up, the familiar foreground of their ordinary Muggle backyard came into view.
"Wow... surely I didn't sleep up here all night."
But she had. She remembered it like it had just happened. Last night was the annual family celebration for her birthday as well as Nathan's. She'd just blown out the candles and wished that she could take a trip somewhere to meet a lot of fantastic friends and unique people. That had always been her dream. Her parents slid the cake out of the way and sat down in front of Adelaide and her brother.
"Children... your mother and I have something that we need to tell you." her father started, hesitantly.
Her mother looked to her husband, then back to her children. "Lately, I'll bet you've been noticing some... strange... things happening to you."
The children stared at each other, wide-eyed and no doubt thinking the same thing, How did she know?
Her father continued, "You see... you come from a very long line of... witches and wizards. There's an entirely new aspect of life that you've been kept from living."
Her mother stopped him before he got rolling. She looked straight at Adelaide, "Adelaide, hunny. You're a witch."
Her father looked at Nathan, "And you're a..."
Nathan had interrupted, "NO! No... you're lying to me. I'm not magical. I'm not a freak!!! I'm not!" he yelled and left the table, slamming the front door on the way out.
That's when Adelaide had gone to the tree house. Small tears filling her bright Green, eleven-year-old eyes, she sat up there, thinking about the life she'd been kept from. She wondered about Nathan and where he would go. She wondered what happened know.
Apparently she'd fallen asleep.
She decided to go back inside and face her parents.
I wonder what else they're keeping from me.
