Name: Sage Grey
Age: 18
Year: 7th
House: Slytherin
Parents: Orin Grey and Accalia Blackwell
Sibling(s): Salem Grey (twin)
Description:
Height: 6'3
Weight: 195
Eyes: Black
Hair: Black
Build: Wiry
Dress Style: Average
Sage's Personality:
Sage is a mastermind when it comes to potions and magical inventions. While he is skilled at wand work and a fierce dueler, he prefers to use his potions and gadgets instead of using hexes and curses.
He will go to any lengths to achieve his ends. If he wants something bad enough, no amount of discomfort will sway him. He will see things through to the end. If he is given a task to complete, he will do whatever it takes to finish it. It becomes a point of pride.
He will show false deference while 'working' on someone. But in truth he only shows deference to those that he believes are above him in society-- those of purer blood for example or those higher in rank than he in the organization. Otherwise, if you are below him in his view, you aren't fit to shine his shoes. (unless he's taken a Pet: in which case he'll cater to them for a while.)
Neat freak. Everything has to be 'just so' or else he can't function. Unfortunately, this is a trait he can barely overcome even when he's working. It will bother him if something is out of place or 'filthy'. Which even if it is a spot of dust, it can send him off on a rampage.
He doesn't really like attention. He'd rather be ignored and isn't too fond of striking up conversation. He'd much rather stay on the fringes. But sometimes talking to others is necessary for his line of work. Once he knows someone, he will often be clownish and when working (killing someone) he lets his sense of humor out. Death is funny, and life is a game at that point.
He works well on his own, but he is still more comfortable having overall orders. But once he has them he can usually adapt and adjust as the situation calls for it. Whatever he needs until he can fulfill his objective!
He is a Death Eater initiate. It is a group that he feels the most comfortable with. Their views closely mirror his own and he feels that if he just works hard enough, tries hard enough, he can advance in rank and become one of the Dark Lord's loyal followers once he leaves Hogwarts.
He can appear to be the most sensitive and sweetest man alive-- Loving and dear. But he can't actually feel that sensitivity. He has no true compassion for those he hurts. He has difficulty forming attachments and his empathy is almost nonexistent. Once an attachment is formed or forced, he is possessive. He never lets go. They are his, and he's insensitive to their need to leave. They're allowed to leave by one means... death.
He doesn't really seek out much or ask for much. He wants to be self-sufficient. He will do it on his own, or not at all.
For those that are 'under' him, he is very dominant. They should be glad to lick his boots! But for those above him, he is almost submissive. The Master tells him what to do, and he will gladly do it. He will also be almost submissive to his lover, though he still always holds to the idea that he is the Master and they are the pet!
He'll only abase himself to those above him.
Not a nurturer, though he can play the part for a while. But then it becomes too difficult. He cant continue the act indefinitely. He's a fine actor, but one cannot live a part forever. He'll try longest for those he's decided to keep. But in the end, he might decide that it is better off to kill them than cater to them forever if they are too needy.
He's rather flexible. He can change with any situation as it comes up. But it pisses him off and he'll be resentful with each change believing it to be an overall conspiracy just to mess up his plans.
He will complete all projects started, he will do whatever is necessary to finish.
He's a killer. But he's the kind of killer that does so calmly with very little emotion behind the action. OR he'll have fun with it. Jokes and quips, turning it into a game. But he does have a temper that can be roused. And when it is, he goes into a rage! Rather than kill with a wand or with any skill at that point, he's likely to strangle the person or beat them with his bare hands. But for the most part, killing is a job, and if he's doing it premeditated, he'll go about it in a methodical way.
Because he has such difficulty forming attachments or finding a lover that will accept him rather than choosing death, he will be obsessive, possessive, and if someone harms them or harms someone he considers a friend, he will go into a rage taking out everything he can for as long as he can.
His desire to do things himself has not affected the connection between him and his twin. Infact, it has only made their bond stronger.
Marital Status: Single
Past Relationships:
He was once engaged to a young woman of his father's choosing. Their engagement ended when she died quite unexpectedly one night. Apparently, she'd been eating and choked to death. Imagine that?
Possessions always on this person: Wand, potions, gadgets
Rp sample:
It was early morning and the sun's red aura was distinct enough to make the surroundings of the forest visible.
Sage had ventured into the forest before the sun had started to rise, so that now, when he stopped to look around, he realised he had gone in further than he had ever been before. He had climbed into the foothills near a large river ... These things he didn't even know were in the forest.
He ascended the lower slopes which rose off the bulk of a mountian. The vegetation looked like it had been ripped up, effaced by eruptions or some great force. The ground was cratered and pitted like the ravages of a horrible disease. Sage gazed across the surrounding area, looking at the landscape that lay outstretched and tormented before him.
Leagues of soft slopes and natural growth seperated the craters. He sat on a rock in a field of boulders that cluttered the slope too thickly to admit vegetation. Folding his arms across his chest, Sage took some time to rest and think...
"Who's there?" a voice called out warily. Marissa peered out cautiously from behind a boulder with her wand raised, slightly scared. She had debated with herself whether to come into the Forest but in the end she couldn't resist the chance of seeing if there are indeed some of the rare plants the Professor mentioned in Herbology.
Sage gave no sign that he had heard Marissa, lifting his lanky frame onto the rocky surface. He looked up at the side of the mountain, seeing clear an easy retreat from her if he needed it.
Sage was not in the mood for pleasantries, but he stayed where he was none the less, as if taking in the scenery around him. It was then that his eyes fell on her, like a wolf siting a deer. "Put that thing down before you poke your eye out." He hissed in an annoyed undertone.
"Why are you out here so early in the morning? There's dangerous creatures in the forest and that stick won't always protect you." He pointed a long elegant finger at her wand accusingly.
He didn't mind Marissa. She was nice and a pureblood, though she was friends with the mudblood Hermione Granger. That was one of her faults. Also she could get downright annoying if let keep talking. Her voice was a few decibals higher than Sage's ears were comfortable with.
