Welcome to Vulti Bellum!
As you probably know, this is a Harry Potter roleplaying site following the students of Hogwarts through the Trio's seventh and final year. Before you join in on the fun there are a few things you will need to know and do.
Rules-
1. Please use proper grammar and spelling. Use the spell check if you have to. That's why it's there.
2. You must have read the Harry Potter series up to the sixth book- The Half Blood Prince. If you haven't you will get lost quickly.
3. Killing is now allowed. There must be a reason and a struggle unless argeed between the two characters. Any conflicts, PM me.
4. Respect the admins, moderators, and roleplayers. Have a problem with someone? Report it to me or another administrator. We will sort it out.
5. If there is information about the wizarding world that has not been stated in the books you DO have freedom to use creative licensing. That's the fun of magic! If you are unsure, look it up in one of the many Harry Potter sites or ask around. Someone is bound to know. Please make it plausible.
6. Each character you create must have its own account and application.
7. No characters that don't exist (Voldemort's son ect..) and no animagi, vampires, ect unless a canon character you are applying for already is one. Especially NO MORE TWINS!
8. Swearing is allowed, however I have blocked a few words. Don't over use the privilege. If you do swear or have any actions that are risque or overly violent, please put a warning in the post title.
9. Characters may now be in more than one board at once, but now must have the date at the beginning of each post. Characters can be in only one thread per date. So theoretically a character can be used seven (eight including flashback) times at once. However, be EXTREMELY careful on conflicting information. I don't want characters being killed on a Monday and at the pub on Thursday.
10. There is a limit of eight characters per person. This limits people disappearing and holding things up.
11. All students are to be in the 6th or 7th year.
12. Signatures can be no bigger than 600x200 pixels. The ideal is 504x144.
13. If a thread has 4 or more 'people' [not characters as some of us include more than one character in a thread], everyone has 48 hours to respond when it's their turn. Those away or sick that have posted inactivity for more than 48 hours should withdraw their characters.
14. As far as the Ministry is concerned, no one is to enter or leave Hogwarts unless a Professor or Ministry worker has a valid reason. Student can only leave for home on holidays. A few exceptions will be made, but you must get it approved by me on how you plan to do it. (E.g. Death Eaters entering the school under disguise, and students sneaking out though a hidden passage. All scenarios risk the characters getting in trouble, expelled, or even killed depending.) The Ministry has also banned Hogsmeade trips as it is too risky.

Plot-
The seventh year is quickly approaching, but the times have become darker. Diagon alley and Hogsmeade are feeling the full effects as it's not as busy as it once was. Wizards and witches try to keep to themselves. You never know who you'll upset and who will come to your front door unexpectedly. The Daily Prophet has a hard time keeping up with listing the unfortunate events of people gone missing or meeting a terrible demise.
Harry Potter finally turned of age and decided to leave the Dursley's forever. As the inheritant of 12 Grimmauld Place decided to pay it a visit for a while feeling terrible that he always had to crash at the poor Weasley's. He knew they always enjoyed him around, but to be honest he wanted a little bit of alone time. But that didn't last long. There was a leak somewhere in the Order and a group of Death Eaters with Snape at the head kidnapped him in the night to a secret location before handing him over to the Dark Lord. Bickering between those in the group have gotten to a critical point. Many wonder why Snape has decided to hold Potter for so long and fear that the Order and Ministry will discover them before Voldemort has a chance to do what he wanted to do the first time.
Over at Hogwarts, McGonagall has taken the lead and many new Professors have been hired. Old ones have decided to serve the greater good with the war, as others think educating the future is time better spent. As ordered the the Head of Magical Law Enforcement, Benton Weatherby, Aurors have been stationed around the castle making rounds just to be on the safe side and to protect the students from another incident like the one from the year before. Also only the 6th and 7th years are to return. All other students are to be home schooled until the danger is over. Only a fourth of the normal student population has decided to return, including the youngest Weasleys and Hermione Granger. But their heads are else where without Harry around and the fact that they have little control on helping with the hostage situation. Not to mention finding horcruxes which they had started before the abduction.
The year's tension is high, and precautions make it hard to move, but at the end something will have to give. Which will it be?

Made-up characters are more than welcome for all positions: Students, Teachers, Death Eaters, Ministry and Order members.

1. Register for an account.
2. Go to: vultibellum.proboards98.com/index.cgi?board=characterapplications
3. Copy and paste the correct application into a new thread.
4. Fill it out.
5. Wait to be accepted. When accepted make sure you change your user name to you character's name. The admin who accepts you will sort you into the appropriate house if you are a student. If there is a problem with your application you will be told and have the chance to fix it.
6. Go roleplay!
