Sam and Becky are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Sam says to Becky, "Becky, I was wondering - have you ever cheated on me?"
Becky replies, "Oh Sam, why would you ask such a question now? You don't want to ask that question..."
"Yes, Becky, I really want to know. Please..."
"Well, all right. Yes, 3 times..."
"Three? Well, when were they?" he asked.
"Well, Sam, remember when you were 35 years old and you really wanted to start the business on your own and no bank would give you a loan? Remember, then one day the bank president himself came over the house and signed the loan papers, no questions asked?"
"Oh, Becky, you did that for me! I respect you even more than ever, to do such a thing for me. So, when was number 2?"
"Well, Sam, remember when you had that last heart attack and you were needing that very tricky operation, and no surgeon would touch you? Then remember how the doctor came all the way up here, to do the surgery himself, and then you were in good shape again?"
"I can't believe it! Becky, you should do such a thingfor me, to save my l ife. I couldn't have a more wonderful wife. To do such a thing, you must really love me darling. I couldn't be more moved. So, all right then, when was number 3?"

Hester Lyon « Result #13 on Sept 11, 2007, 10:03pm »
Name: Hester Lynet Lyon (otherwise known as Hess)
Age: 18
Birthday: April 9th
Why are they important to this plot line?: Because variety is the spice of life.
Bloodline: Pure-blood
Physical Description: Hester stands quite tall at about 5'8". She has and oval face, grey-green eyes and pale skin with constantly pink cheeks that flush easily and freckles across the bridge of her nose, across her cheeks and a few above her eyebrows. Her hair is long - long enough to sit on braided - a bit frizzy and wavy, and a dark chestnut color, about the color of coffee beans. In build, she stands somewhere between skinny and curvy.
Hess can normally be seen in clothes which she deems practical - broken in blue jeans, t-shirts, loose shirts, ratty trainers and/or combat boots. When off duty, Hess is fond of wearing 'poofy' skirts, which explains her fondness for early-fifties type dresses and shoes for formal events. Hess also rarely wears robes because they catch in things, although this makes absolutely no sense when one considers Hess's fondness for billowy cloaks.
Personality: A bit of a recluse, Hess has trouble talking to people she doesn't know well, and is thus often judged to be rather shyer than she is. Even among friends, she tends to be rather succinct in conversation, unless something really grabs her attention. Once you get her talking, Hess would tell you her life history if you asked. However, getting her to start talking can be arduous, so most don't really bother to get to know her. Perhaps because of the fact that she has relatively few friends, Hess is dead loyal to the friends she has, especially to her sister.
If a single word were used to describe Hess, that word would be strange. She spends much of her spare cash on obscure books and fabric, enjoys attempting to work out the logic of spell work, and despite the general bookishness, is a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Possibly the weirdest thing about her though is that, despite loudly claiming that she thinks team sports are silly, Hess is absolutely obsessed with quidditch, having played as a beater while in school. She also goes to absolutely every Ballycastle Bats match she can go to.
Likes: Books, intelligent conversation, the sensations of flight, quidditch, dress-making and historical costuming, magic, fire, swingy skirts, pralines.
History: Hester was born in Cairo (her mother worked for Gringotts and her Da's an Egyptologist) and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Despite the fact that she’s a pure-blood, her parents exposed her to muggles from a very early age. In fact, she went to a public elementary school up until the time she was eleven, shen she was accepted at Hogwarts (although she still has no idea why she was sent thereas opposed to a school in the States).
When she was thirteen, Hess's mum finally won the Ireland vs. America battle and in the summer before Hess's third year, the family packed up the house and moved to a rather run-down farm house called Ballyorban, about five miles from Cork.
At Hogwarts, Hess developed a taste for charms, arithmancy and playing quidditch. From the time she was in fifth year, she planned on becoming a curse-breaker. She also developed a stubborn streak. When the war came to Hogwarts, she decided to stay and fight.Hess survived, but she's had nightmares ever since. Not often, but enough to make her worry about dreaming.
Hess passed her N.E.W.T.s without too much trouble and applied for a job with Gringotts. She was accepted, has gone through (very) basic training, and been to one job in Russia as an observer with her mentor at Gringotts, Thomas Polk. Hess is semi-permanently living with her sister and trying to avoid thinking of the day when she gets posted abroad.
Family and Pets: Her parents, her twin sister, Florence (otherwise known as Florrie) and a rather large barred owl named Toks.
Roleplaying Sample: Hess had had a nightmare again. This was the third time in a week, and yet the sun had the temerity to make believe today was a good day! She drowsily took a slug from the large mug of tea clasped between her two hands and plotted ways to get caffeine into he system throughout the day without resorting to tepid coffee. Horrid stuff. Laboriously she got up and lumbered across to the other end of the tiny front room/kitchenette to turn on the radio, managing to trip noisily over the edge of the rug on the return journey. Fortunately, she had left the tea on the table.
All of a sudden, Florrie bustled in; Hess had just decided that the way Florrie could run about so early in the morning was downright obscene when Florrie snapped at her, "You woke me up."
"I tripped."
"You know what I mean."
"Nightmare."
"Ah."
"Nngh."
Florrie sighed, a bit sympathetically, "I've been meaning to make more sleeping draught anyway. But you really shouldn't let them bother you so much. They're not real!"
"Thanks. And I try. But you're wrong Florrie. They're real. Same as your dreams." Florrie scowled, "Well, nothing for it but caffeine."
Florrie shook her head and made herself busy cooking something for breakfast. Hess admired the way the early sun gilded Florrie's hair, her face, her very being, and wondered how they had turned out so different: how Florrie had gotten to be so pragmatic and she so dreamy, Florrie light and she dark. At least now they were the same, gilded the same gorgeous gold by the same burnished sun.
Still, how was it that Florrie got dreams, and Hess, nothing but nightmares?
"Pocket anything and you'll pay in more than Galleons."

George Weasley « Result #15 on Sept 8, 2007, 6:01pm »
Name:George Weasley Age:19 Birthday: April 1, 1978 Bloodline: Pureblood Why are they important to this plot line?: George is a son of Molly and Arthur Weasley, who are two proud members of The Order of the Phoenix. George is partnered with his twin brother, Fred, as managers and founders of their store in Diagon Alley, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. They started the store with gold that was given to them by Harry Potter that he won in the Triwizard Tournament.
Physical Description:Fred and George are identical twins who look so similar even their mother finds it hard to tell them apart. They are shorter and stockier than their gangly brother Ron, and of course have the usual Weasley red hair.
Personality:Fred and George are the main trouble-makers of the Weasley family, causing their mother more headaches than the rest of her children put together. They are also very close, spending most of their waking time together--this friendship seems to arise from shared interests rather than a deep sharing of intimate secrets and hidden depths, however. It seems unlikely that Fred and George have any hidden depths.
Likes: The twins enjoy some harmless pranks every now and then. Though no one has ever been mortally injured they have caused Filch and countless other people several headaches. They also enjoy Quidditch as they were formally Beaters on the Gryffindor team at school. They highly enjoyed sneaking around behind Filch's back while they were at school. Breaking rules is one of their many hobbies.
Dislikes:Dalores Umbridge, Argus Filch, Mrs. Norris, generally anyone associated with Lord Voldemort.
History:Fred and George are the main trouble-makers of the Weasley family, causing their mother more headaches than the rest of her children put together. They are also very close, spending most of their waking time together--this friendship seems to arise from shared interests rather than a deep sharing of intimate secrets and hidden depths, however. It seems unlikely that Fred and George have any hidden depths.
They were born on April Fool's Day 1978 and started Hogwarts in September 1989. Having been home-tutored up until that point, this was their first experience of formal education, and they soon developed a healthy disregard for its rules and routines. They were frequently in (relatively minor) trouble right from the start of their school careers, and by their fourth year Argus Filch had an entire drawer of his filing cabinet devoted to their misdemeanors. According to Ron they were still very bright and got good marks despite messing around all the time, although this didn't last until their OWL year where they managed only three each.
The twins joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team in their second year as Beaters. They stayed on the team right up until their seventh year when they received a lifetime ban from Professor Umbridge following the first game of the season against Slytherin. Very capable Beaters, they were held in high regard by their captain Oliver Wood and his successor Angelina Johnson, who struggled to replace them after their ban.
As well as being skilled Quidditch players, the Weasley twins are also experts at sneaking around the school--and even at sneaking out of school and into Hogsmeade when the need arises. Their knowledge of the secret passages that line Hogwarts is unsurpassed amongst the other students and the teaching staff and is rivalled only by Filch himself. The main secret of their success in this area is the Marauder's Map that they picked up in their first year, although they had already found at least one secret passage on their own by then.
They'd let off a Dungbomb in the corridor one day, to which Filch hadn't taken kindly, and so they had been summoned to his office. Inside, they saw his filing cabinet of confiscated items and, unable to resist a peek, dropped another Dungbomb as a diversion and whipped out the first thing that came to hand. Luckily for them, it was the immensely useful Marauder's Map. They used it to help with their trouble-making for several years before generously bequeathing it to Harry in December 1993.
It was probably around this time that they started making their first attempts to create joke products for what would eventually become Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes. By the summer of 1994 they had developed a good few products and had started to get order forms together, intending to sell by mail order. Their little business was called "Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes" at this point, not gaining the "ing" at the end of the second word until a year later. Mrs. Weasley discovered what they were doing in the end and was not impressed that their combined ambition extended only to running a joke shop. Also unimpressed with their meager haul of OWLs, she attempted to put a stop to it all by making them destroy their stock and order forms. As ever, they did nothing of the sort, although they were good enough to pretend to comply.
At the World Cup final in 1994 they placed all their savings on a bet with Ludo Bagman, risking everything but intending to use their profits to invest in the business. They won but were conned by Bagman, who paid them in Leprechaun gold, an artificial form of currency that disappears after a short time. They spent much of the subsequent year attempting to blackmail Bagman to retrieve their money, but for once were met with no success.
The start of the next school year brought the Triwizard Tournament, which was only open to students seventeen years old and above. Fred and George were only 16 at the tim,e but this didn't stop them taking Aging Potion in an attempt to fool the Age Line Professor Dumbledore had set up to prevent any cheating. Their attempt failed, of course, and they were hurled away by the charm, in the process spouting long, white beards that had to be removed by Madam Pomfrey.
They were therefore deeply impressed that Harry had managed not only to get his name put down but also to get chosen as a Champion. They were even more impressed when he won, particularly when he handed them the 1000 Galleons prize money he couldn't face keeping after seeing Cedric Diggory murdered and Lord Voldemort resurrected. Fred and George refused the gift initially, but Harry had heard about the Bagman incident and insisted. The twins then had the money to set up their shop.
The summer of 1995 was spent inventing, with new products such as Extendable Ears and Skiving Snackboxes (containing Puking Pastilles, Fainting Fancies and Nosebleed Nougat) coming off the Weasley production line. Now in their seventh year and with little interest left in education, the twins instead used the time to conduct market research and testing on their products, offering money to any other students foolish enough to help them out.
The ousting of Professor Dumbledore from the school also acted as the catalyst for Fred and George's own typically flamboyant exit. They were key players in the outbreak of anarchy that followed Professor Umbridge promoting herself to Headmistress, causing chaos by releasing their entire stock of fireworks in the school and setting up a series of portable swamps in the corridors. When they were finally cornered they simply zoomed off into the sunset on their broomsticks to put the finishing touches to their new shop at 93 Diagon Alley, and Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes was truly born.
During the following year their business was booming. The Weasley twins had not only firmly established themselves as a formidable force in the practical jokes market, but had also begun marketing a range of anti-Dark Magic items, such as items of clothing enchanted with Shield Charms, Decoy Detonators (items designed to create a diversion, enabling people to escape trouble), and Instant Darkness Powder (also designed to help people escape). Sadly, the latter was used by Draco Malfoy and the Death Eaters in order to sneak into Hogwarts grounds. It is presumable that the twins will be far more careful about to whom they sell their items in the future.
George was devastated after the death of his twin brother, Fred. He was faced with one of the most difficult decisions of his life. He had to decide whether or not to continue running Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes.
Family and Pets: George is one of the many Weasleys Arthur Weasley-father Molly Weasley-mother Bill Weasley-Eldest brother Charley Weasley-Second eldest brother Percival Weasley-Third eldest brother Fred Weasley-deceased twin brother Ronald Weasley-Youngest brother Ginerva Weasley-Youngest Weasley sibling
Alright, and are we going to open up the characters to creatures? Like playing as house elves or ghosts and whatever magical creatures you can think of. And if we are going to have muggle homes can we have muggle characters?
Why are they important to this plot line?:Kingsley is very skilled Auror and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He is also the secretary to the muggle Prime Minister.
Physical Description:Kingsley is a tall, black wizard with a bald head. He has a deep, slow, calming voice and wears a single gold hoop earring. He has dark eyes. Possibly dark brown if not black.
Personality:Kingsley is a proud wizard. He doesn't like to gloat about his accomplishments. He is loyal to his friends. He helped Sirius by leading the hunt and leading it away from Sirius's actual location. He also tried to press Sirius's innocence through The Quibbler. His loyalty to Dumbledore led him to modify Marietta Edgecombe's memory before she could tell the Minister about the DA. (Couldn't really come up with anything else, hope this will suffice.)
Likes: Serving the Order, his friends, his job.
Dislikes: The Dark Lord, Death Eaters, probably even the Minister.
History: Kingsley went to Hogwarts as a Gryffindor. Kingsley desired to be an Auror his whole life. His father was an Auror and he followed in his footsteps. Kingsley worked for the Ministry for many years and acquired the status of Senior Auror.
Kingsley Shacklebolt volunteered to be one of the members of the Advance Guard that escorted Harry Potter from the Dursleys' home to 12 Grimmauld Place during the summer of 1995. Kingsley worked for the Ministry of Magic as an Auror. Kingsley was also a member of the second Order of the Phoenix, which reformed in 1995 to fight Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
Due to Cornelius Fudge's blatant refusal to believe Dumbledore about Voldemort's return, Kingsley was forced to keep his membership in the Order a secret to protect his position at the Ministry. At work, he and Arthur Weasley pretended to be nothing more than mere acquaintances when, in actuality, they had become friends through the Order. Before Harry's trial at the Ministry of Magic, Kingsley approached Arthur under the guise of needing information from the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department where Arthur worked. In private, Kingsley slipped Arthur a copy of The Quibbler for Sirius Black. As the Auror in charge of the manhunt for Sirius, and knowing of Sirius' innocence, he purposely sabotaged the investigation, following fake leads and guiding the search away from Sirius's actual location. The magazine Kingsley slipped to Arthur was a wizard tabloid featuring a particularly far-fetched story that claimed Sirius Black was actually a rock-star by the name of Stubby Boardman and innocent of the crimes for which he'd been imprisoned. Kingsley thought the article would amuse Sirius. Ironically, The Quibbler, although considered an untruthful rag by most respectable witches and wizards, was the only public source to even suggest that Sirius may have been innocent.
Kingsley was one of the two Aurors Fudge brought to Hogwarts with him on the night the DA was discovered by Dolores Umbridge. Fudge was looking for an excuse to expel and discredit Harry, who broke ministry-imposed school rules by organizing the DA (Dumbledore's Army--a Defense Against the Dark Arts club formed as a result of Professor Umbridge's lack of practical teaching in DADA) and holding regular meetings. Marietta Edgecombe, a Ravenclaw girl, was going to tell on Harry, but never got the chance. While no one was paying attention, Kingsley cast a spell on Marietta, modifying her memory and saving Harry from expulsion. When Umbridge, furious that her witness was being uncooperative, forcefully shook Marietta, it was Kingsley who quickly stepped forward to stop her and advised her to calm down. From Umbridge's immediate reaction, it can be assumed that Kingsley was known as a very capable wizard and respected for his abilities.
To save Harry, Dumbledore told Fudge he was in charge of arranging the DA. When Fudge ordered Kingsley and Dawlish (the other Auror) to apprehend Dumbledore, Dumbledore was forced to hex Kingsley along with the other Ministry personnel in the room. While Dumbledore did not want to hex Kingsley, he could not risk rousing Fudge's suspicions. Before leaving, Dumbledore commented admiringly that Kingsley was very quick to modify Marietta's memory and asked Professor McGonagall to apologize to Kingsley for the hex.
Kingsley was also one of the five Order members who went to the Department of Mysteries to rescue Harry and his friends from the Death Eaters. Along with Sirius, Remus Lupin, Mad-Eye Moody, and Tonks, Kingsley quickly engaged the Death Eaters to pull their attention away from Harry, Neville Longbottom, and the prophecy. At one point, Kingsley was dueling with a Death Eater named Rookwood. At another point, he dueled two Death Eaters at once. If he sustained any injuries, they were not serious enough to be mentioned in the text.
Upon meeting Harry, Kingsley commented to Remus that Harry looked exactly like James. Kingsley never knew James. He had only ever made his acquaintance. Kingsley wasn't one of the members of the original Order. He joined the Order after it's reformation in 1995.
During the summer of 1996, Cornelius Fudge was removed from his position as Minister of Magic. When he went to visit the Prime Minister, he and the new minister, Rufus Scrimgeour, informed the Prime Minister that Kingsley--who also worked as one of the secretaries in the Prime Minister's outer office--was actually a wizard. The Prime Minister was shocked at this information, but remarked that Kingsley was "highly efficient," getting through "twice the work" the rest of the secretaries managed to get through. From this information, it becomes clear that Kingsley pulled not double, but triple duty: working as an Auror, an Order member, and posing as a secretary to the Prime Minister.
After the death of Alastor Moody Kingsley was appointed head Auror. After the fall of the Dark Lord Kingsley helped weed out all of traitors within the Ministry. Since the newly appointed Minister, after the death of Rufus Scrimgeour, had been under the Imperius curse, Kingsley was appointed as a temporary Minister of Magic.

Benton Weatherby « Result #19 on Sept 8, 2007, 4:35pm »
Name: Benton Weatherby Age: 46 Birthday: September 15th Bloodline: Half-blood
Why are they important to this plot line?: He is head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He makes sure the Aurors and other sub departments are on track. He is also an Order Member from the first rise of Voldemort, but doubts whether he should still participate since some of the things the Order does/did (like hide Sirius) is against the law, and if he is caught that's a one way ticket to Azkaban.
Physical Description: Benton is just over 6 feet with a solid build. His hair is a light to dark brown depending on the lighting and time of year. It is short around the sides with a bit of length on top where it likes to curl if not slicked back.
Personality: Most people see him as one with a stick up his ass. He is serious about his work and doesn't take crap from anyone. He has to be this way because of his job. It's up to him to over see those who protect the law, which is more important than ever. Since he is new in the position and his life in in danger because of his status, he isn't one to joke around. However, he isn't a heartless bastard. His early ties to the Order of the Phoenix keep his opinions in check from those the ministry tries to enforce. He knows things that he lets slide, for example the period when Sirius was in hiding. If you were to buy him a drink in the pub, he'd consider you a friend. But watch out. He does have a temper if something is not done right.
Likes: Drinking in the pub, having his life, memories of his wife, and his position of power.
Dislikes: Voldemort and his Death Eaters, people who give him a hard time, work that has not been done that should have a week ago.
History: Benton grew up in a normal wizarding household. His mother was a muggle and his father a wizard. He came to love the best of both worlds. Everyone was happy when he was accepted into Ravenclaw and he worked exceptionally hard all seven years.
As soon as he graduated he took up a job at the ministry and worked his way up. At some point he came across the Order of the Phoenix as times grew dark. He was a relatively good friend toward the lot, but lost contact as there was little need for the Order after Harry Potter survived.
He was perfectly happy working in the Office of Misinformation all those years. Things were going well up until a few years ago. He had a loving wife who also worked at the ministry, and they were finally planing of having some kids. That was until the tragedy of Amelia Bones, former head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, who was killed by death eaters along with several members of her family. He was asked to take up the responsibility because of his good history in the ministry. Unsure at first as he would then be on Voledmort's hit list, he decided to risk it all, with support from his wife, and work for the greater good. A month after he began his wife was murdered as a warning to himself. He was devastated and blamed himself, but took a deeper concentration on the task at hand. He wants the world to be safe so others didn't have to go through the same pain as hundreds and maybe even thousands were going though thanks to Voldemort.
As Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and a member of Wizengamot, he was conflicted on whether to continue as an Order Member, as he had been hiding information from the Ministry and disagreed with some of the policies that had been concerning the upcoming war. Benton was/is a great supporter of Dumbledore as quite a few of the Aurors are, but fears the punishment that could result in withholding information from the Ministry would have been drastic.
The war had come to an end, or at least Harry Potter had defeated the number one criminal, but everything was falling apart. The upper ranks of the Ministry was untrustworthy, he himself had been interview by the Daily Prophet as well as a committee to weed out the traitors and those under curses. Copycats and Death Eaters that believe Voldemort still lives and they don't want to be fooled again, rampage though the country still committing heinous crimes. At least he had gotten though it with his job, and team, intact.
Family and Pets: Wife- Dawn. Recently murdered. An owl that is technically the Ministry's, but he normally uses it.
Roleplaying Sample:
The afternoon was just peaking and the bustle of the ministry offices were still in full swing before the mad rush home. Not for the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. He would be around well into the night tracing those evil enough to spend his time on. Each day it was a crunch to find the one who no one dared say his name, well apart from those looking for him. As a wise wizard once said 'Fear of the name increases the fear in the thing its self' or something simular. It wasn't as if Weatherby had any place really to go at night anyway besides an empty little house with heart aching memories. Best to put his efforts on his work.
The man strode down an aisle of desks belonging to his team of Aurors, most of them out in the world on missions to hunt down Death Eaters and leads of where Voldemort could be hiding. They had been given word time and time again that he was in the old Riddle mansion, but every visit found nothing and was retracting from valuable time looking.
A stack of papers tucked under his heavily robed arm and an ever present disgruntled look upon his face was a sight that passed through the Auror office several times a day as new leads and more paper work flowed onto his desk and was distributed to his team. At least he was always glad the ministry didn't bother with ever ringing telephones. The mess owls left was enough and much better than annoying sounds. Not always the case with the biters, but what is one to do?
"Gerrard? Where is that girl when you need her? GERRARD!" he called as there were fewer and fewer places to find her. His robes fluttered around his feet as he walked noticing the girls desk deserted. She never seemed to be around when he had a mission for her. What was she doing? He'd stopped trying to figure it out ages ago. There were more important things to do.
Hamish MacCallum « Result #20 on Sept 7, 2007, 7:23pm »
Name: Hamish MacCallum Age: 32 Birthday: November 23rd Bloodline: Halfblood Why are they important to this plot line?: Auror trying his best to sort things out.
Physical Description:
Ham is not terribly tall, close to 6 foot but doesn't quite make it. He's lean so from a distance he looks taller than his is. Brownish color hair that lightens during the winter to have glints of blond. It can have its days of looking very neat and tidy, and then others looks like he had just rolled out of bed. Ham claims it has a mind of its own at times. He likes to keep cleanly shaven, but anything goes on his days off.
Personality:
Classified as a character, he often over exaggerates his stories. He has a bad habit of not finishing his last sentences, or when he does, inserts descriptions that don't have anything to do with what he was talking about but more about his surroundings. When fiddling around with things (mainly muggle objects that seem to make their way into his life) and springs and bits happen to get away from him, you will often hear him squeak an 'Arrrh! Oh no!'. He's a very happy person most of the time that wouldn't hurt a fly if his job didn't depend on it. His Auror training made sure he wasn't soft in the presence of Dark Wizards and could act like someone not to be messed with. But it's all head games.
Likes:
Hamish loves anything mechanical. His flat in London is full of small draws and shelves with small nuts and bolts, springs, wires, odds and ends from almost every object in the history of muggle electronics and machines. He even has parts for televisions that have become obsolete. Like most men, he enjoys a good game of quidditch other watching the Chudly Cannons or in a back field with his mates. A good drink the the pub also hits the right spot at the end of the week.
Dislikes:
He hates what every Auror hates, Dark Wizards bent on taking over the world and injustice. He also hates the fact he knows what happened to his brother, but is completely embarrassed and ashamed of him.
History:
Hamish grew up with his wizard father, muggle mother and three brothers in a small wizarding town in Scotland. He was fascinated with muggle things and tinkered with old run down electronic devices that his uncle would find. Every Christmas he'd ask for erector sets or a robot kit. He was a little disappointed to find that these things had no power at Hogwarts. But that didn't stop him from playing around with clocks and an old spring wound film camera.
He always sat on the edge of his seat in Muggle Studies wanting to know all he could about machines and how they worked. Yes, magic was well and good, but he usually found it easy and unchallenging. Well not as challenging as modifying a toy car to run faster. Rubbish at potions, but pulled through well enough to please his parents and they pushed him into Auror training like his great grandfather had been.
Through the war, he came across his share of unpleasant criminals working under the supposed Dark Lord. Those few years were tough, and a cruel test if there ever was one. He had days without sleep and was still expected to keep peace in a place that was falling apart. One boy thankfully changed it all. Hamish promised himself to thank Harry Potter greatly for his bravery, and the news that the boy was coming to train was a delight to be told!
The world is still a mess, but now a bit more relaxing and time that didn't seem to be there before.
Family and Pets: Father Wallace (muggle), Mother Gillian (witch), older brother Finlay (36), younger brothers Hamish (pronounced haim-ish) (32) and Loughlin (30).

It was early Saturday morning. A day off of work. The sun was beaming in through the window of the tiny London flat window, glinting off assorted scraps of metal and disemboweled toasters, VCRs and clocks. Each one was systematically placed as to let one Hamish MacCallum know where every tiny screw went back in when he was done examining it.
With coffee cup in hand, clad in boxers, undershirt and knee high socks, Hamish toddled over to the door leading to the hall to pick up the muggle newspaper. With a grunt and a snort, he bent over to pick it up and scan the headlines. He always thought it best to have a foot in both worlds. Even most muggleborns seemed to lose touch with their native upbringing after Hogwarts. Shame really.
A fluttering at the window brought the sign of the Daily Prophet. A nice cross reference to start the day before diving into the latest item of study- a CD-ROM player. Ham shuffled to the table, set down his mug and flipped through the pages of both periodicals looking for anything interesting he had missed while sleeping.
"Well I..." he started not finishing. Why should he? No one was listening. An article in the Prophet describing the aftermath of Dumbledore's passing and the latest in what was to be done in terms of administration and safety. This sparked an interest that he would look into first thing Sunday morning when it was his next shift.
With a sip of his coffee, his hand automatically picked up a nearby screwdriver and pair of pliers ready to start taking things apart.
